First weather warning: Two rain showers expected this weekend

Wet weather this time of year almost always comes down to probabilities. What is the hourly probability of rain for each municipality?

We know that rain chances will increase rapidly Saturday evening and continue to increase into the night. News 10NBC First Alert meteorologists are predicting that showers will become more numerous Saturday night and develop into a nearly consistent rain by midnight. This will continue into the early morning hours before rain chances decrease again Sunday morning.

Sunday morning is likely to start dry with partial sunshine, but by midday cumulus clouds will once again cover the skies, and the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures over the next 48 hours will be unseasonably cool for the month of June, with readings between 10 and 15 degrees. Monday will bring plenty of clouds again, and isolated showers are possible. For now, we’re leaving the threat tracker green with only a small impact from the rain, but will continue to monitor for updates.

Improvement should finally arrive late Tuesday, with a return of dry weather and gradually more sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can expect seasonable temperatures towards the middle of the week.
