Rape: Man lures 8-year-old girl with 10 rupees and rapes her in forest | Meerut News

Bijnor: Police on Saturday registered a case against a 55-year-old man who allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl in Bijnor. According to police, the accused lured the girl with Rs 10 lakh when she was playing outside her house. He took her to a secluded spot in a nearby field and raped her. SP Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said, “The girl was at her maternal uncle’s house when the incident took place on Friday. Her grandmother approached the police on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 363 (abduction), 376 AB (rape of a woman below 12 years of age), sections 5/6 of the Pocso Act and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act. He has been arrested and sent to jail.”
