Two underage girls raped, accused detained

Jammu, June 8: Two minor girls were allegedly raped by two men in a forest area in Udhampur district, but police identified the accused as Dalip Kumar and Ravinder Kumar, both residents of Panchound.

It was said that the girls had been lying unconscious in the forest all night and were rescued by the police on Saturday morning after they received information.

The girls were taken to a hospital in Ramnagar for treatment. A case has been registered at the local police station under relevant provisions of the law and further investigation is on.

It stated that the accused fled after committing the crime but was then arrested by special police units.
