Silver Alert issued for 86-year-old Salem man last seen in Payson LDS Temple

UTAH COUNTY, June 8, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – A Silver Alert has been issued for an 86-year-old Salem man showing signs of dementia who drove away from the Payson Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Douglas Chase is white, 5’6″ tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue suit and white shirt.

Chase drove away around 1:30 p.m. in his vehicle, a blue 2020 Kia Sportage with Utah license plate 89AB3.

“It is unknown where he goes,” says Silver Alert. “He becomes forgetful. Last year he made it to Fillmore.”
