A quiet evening ahead of a STORM WARNING WEATHER DAY for Sunday | Local News

Happy Saturday everyone!

There’s a slight chance of a scattered shower or two during the evening hours. The air will feel comfortable until about 9:00 p.m. EDT tonight, after which humidity will begin to rise. Lows will be in the 68s and skies will be partly cloudy.

Current 7-day forecast

Sunday is a STORM WEATHER DAY. There is a slight risk of severe weather (Level 1/5) throughout the observation area. Damaging winds and small hail are the main hazards, both with a 5% chance. An isolated tornado is not as likely, with less than a 2% chance, but we will be watching for a possible rotation.

Tomorrow there will be TWO major waves of showers and storms: the first wave is slightly weaker between 9:00 a.m. and noon EDT and the second wave is stronger between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. EDT. The timing may change at a later date.

Humidity will also increase on Sunday. The sky will be partly to mostly cloudy, with maximum temperatures reaching 30 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday will be a little cooler with 28 to 29 degrees. Between Monday and Thursday, skies will be sunny to mostly sunny. Highs will be between 30 and 35 degrees. Prepare for hotter weather in the coming week.

We will continue to keep you updated with the latest forecasts. Thank you and have a nice evening.
