1 dead in fatal motorcycle accident

BEADLE COUNTY, SD (KELO) — A 66-year-old man died Friday evening in a car crash near Bonilla, SD

The name of the person concerned was not disclosed until family members were notified.

Preliminary information on the accident indicates that the driver of a 2022 Indian motorcycle was traveling south on US 218.

The driver drove onto the side of the road heading south, lost control of his motorcycle and ended up in the western ditch.

The driver was taken to a regional medical center where he was pronounced dead.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. All information released so far is preliminary.
