Second fugitive arrested on murder charge in Splendora

A second arrest was made as part of an international murder investigation in the Splendora area.

Juan Jose Valero Cruz was taken into police custody in Splendora on June 7 without incident. He was transferred to federal custody in Mexico on murder charges. He was also in the United States illegally and is now facing deportation for the third time.

News of Cruz’s arrest comes two weeks after another international murder suspect, Leo Acosta Sanchez, was also arrested in Splendora.
