Woman injures man in Miami-Dade with hammer

PINEWOOD, Florida. – A man was hospitalized Saturday after a woman hit him with a hammer during an argument in the Pinewood neighborhood of Miami-Dade County, police said.

Officers arrived at 11440 NW 7 Ave. around 2:10 p.m. They found a man with serious injuries, according to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department.

According to Rodriguez, the woman fled and Miami-Dade Fire Department personnel took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he remained Saturday afternoon.
