Shooting leaves 3 dead and 2 injured in South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Three people were killed and two others injured in a shooting in a Sioux Falls neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said.

Police said a suspect was in custody. They said there was no further danger to the community. The investigation is ongoing.

In a news release, police said they found the victims around 2:45 a.m. while responding to a 911 call about a disturbance, the Argus Leader reported. The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities did not provide further details. Sioux Falls police did not respond to two phone messages left with dispatch or a social media message from the Associated Press.
