FWC officials respond to boating accident on Egmont Key

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is responding to a boating accident near Egmont Key.

According to the FWC, officers are on the way.

“This is an active call and we are working diligently to gather all relevant information,” the FWC said in a statement to 8 On Your Side.

A spokesman for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will be the lead investigative agency.
