A Mountain Home man was arrested Friday night after a motorcycle chase in Baxter County. Three agencies were involved in the arrest of 36-year-old Tyler Chase Tedder.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office affidavit, a deputy was on patrol on Old Military Road when he encountered Tedder, who was speeding. As the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, Tedder accelerated and continued driving.

The chase reached speeds of 70 miles per hour on county roads south of Mountain Home. The officer eventually lost sight of Tedder, but another officer found the overturned motorcycle on Old Military Road and it appeared Tedder had fled into the woods. An Arkansas State Police trooper and a Mountain Home Police Department trooper joined in the search for Tedder, who was discovered hiding about 100 yards behind the residence where his motorcycle was found.

Tedder told law enforcement that he did not destroy his motorcycle but parked it so he could escape on foot.

Tedder is charged with fleeing and misdemeanor charges of no motorcycle registration and speeding. He was released after posting $5,000 bail.
