Man retired with serious head injuries after incident in York city center

A man has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following an incident in York city centre.

North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened between 2.15am and 4am on Tuesday, May 7, in King’s Staith.

A police spokesman said the circumstances of the incident were “not yet known”.

They added that the investigation was at an “early stage” and urged the public to come forward if they had any information.
