Watch Oasis and Phoenix’s Covers of Houston’s Vampire Weekend Attempt

On Thursday, Vampire Weekend kicked off its North American tour in Houston. The group — which released its latest album Only God was above us earlier this year – closed the show with attempted covers of Phoenix’s “1901” and Oasis’ “Wonderwall.”

Ezra Koenig joined in on Phoenix’s “1901” at Just Like Heaven last month, even though he wasn’t required to sing it. Vampire Weekend also did Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over”, which they have done before. On Friday, they also covered Talking Heads’ “Once In A Lifetime,” The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army,” Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” and Kings Of Leon’s “Sex On Fire.”
