Traffic cops suspended after fining politicians Rs 500

Two traffic officials who issued a traffic ticket to provincial parliamentarian Sher Ali Afridi of the Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) have been suspended.

The chief traffic police officer suspended both officers.

According to the statement, officials had imposed a fine of Rs 500 on the MP for violating traffic rules.

The traffic police reported that the MP complained about the misconduct of the traffic officers, which led to their suspension for misconduct.

Talking about the incident, Sher Ali Afridi stated that the traffic official stopped the car when he signalled. His brother told the traffic officials that they were MPAs but when the conversation started, the traffic official used inappropriate words and abused him.

It should be noted that Sher Ali Afridi is a member of the Provincial Assembly from PK-77.
