Fire in wood chip silo in Springfield, NH under investigation

Officials are investigating a large fire that broke out late Friday night at a wood chip silo in Springfield. Several buildings were affected by the fire, as well as some conveyor belts. Officials told News 9 that the first 911 call about the fire came in at 10:30 p.m. Friday and that firefighters were able to get the flames under control around 2 a.m. Saturday. The cause of the fire is unknown. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal is expected to assist with the investigation. No injuries were reported.
