Colorado Springs police arrest felon in possession of “over an ounce” of various narcotics

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KRDO) — Colorado Springs police say they discovered and seized “over an ounce” of various narcotics, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, after responding to a reported trespassing at a storage facility shortly after 11 p.m. on June 7, 2024.

In addition to methamphetamine and fentanyl, officers said they also found drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm.

Police said officers were responding to a report of trespassing at the storage facility near the 1100 block of North Academy Boulevard when they discovered 41-year-old convicted felon Adama James Brown. In addition to methamphetamine and fentanyl, officers also found drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm.

According to Colorado Springs police, Brown has “multiple convictions for serious crimes” in several states, including Colorado.

Brown now faces serious crimes, including possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful distribution and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
