SUNY Purchase agrees to suspend disciplinary consequences for protesters arrested during demonstrations on campus

Following discussions among SUNY Purchase’s administration, faculty and students over the ongoing protests on campus, the school’s president has announced significant concessions.

In a statement released today, the President announced that the College has agreed to suspend any disciplinary action for individuals arrested during the May 2 demonstrations.

However, this leniency is contingent upon the arrested students committing to no further actions that violate the Student Code of Conduct, local, state or campus policies.

Additionally, SUNY Purchase is committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation into the events of May 2nd. This comes following the university’s deployment of campus police to break up an encampment on campus.
