Strike UAVs attacked the Russian Federation military airport in North Ossetia



A group of attack drones has attacked a Russian military base near the city of Mozdok in North Ossetia.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the attack and said the drones allegedly flew from Ukraine.

The head of North Ossetia claims that there were three drones and that their target was a military airport near the city of Mozdok. According to him, all drones were shot down. At the same time, “minor destruction and fires” were reportedly recorded. The exact consequences of the attack are still unknown.

“The attack was stopped by the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry. Minor destruction and fires were recorded. No one was injured. An operational headquarters was set up,” said the head of North Ossetia.

The attack on this air base is being reported for the first time. Russian troops are using it in the war against Ukraine.

At the same time, photos of drone wreckage showing six engines were published on the Telegram channel Mash.

The Ukrainian Air Force has repeatedly reported launches of MiG-31K Kinzhal aircraft carriers and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers from this air base to attack Ukraine.

The distance from Ukraine to this Russian aviation facility is about 1000 kilometers.

It is likely that the Russian military facility was attacked by Liutyi drones.

The aircraft fuselage consists of an integrated double-beam low-wing aircraft.

The propulsion is provided by an internal combustion engine with a three-blade pusher propeller arranged in the rear area.

There is a large hood in the bow that provides access to the compartment containing the warhead.
