Westbound lanes of Highway 24 reopened after accident

EL PASO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation says there are delays on westbound Highway 24 due to an accident Friday afternoon.

According to traffic camera data, emergency vehicles have disappeared from the area and traffic is flowing normally.

The accident occurred west of Manitou Springs near Manitou Avenue and the entrance to Cave of the Winds.

News5 contacted the Colorado State Patrol and learned it was a single-motorcycle accident. One person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
