Driver dies in crash on US-41 in Pasco County | News

SPRING HILL, Florida.– Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday afternoon, June 7, on US-41 in Pasco County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound on Bowman Road disregarded a stop sign and entered the intersection, where it collided with a Chevy Silverado pulling a trailer traveling southbound on US-41. The impact caused the Toyota Corolla to spin and come to a stop on the side of the road. The Chevy Silverado and its trailer spun and also came to a stop on the side of the road.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 28-year-old man from Port Richey, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevy Silverado, a 32-year-old man from Brooksville, and his passenger, a 41-year-old man from Brooksville, were not injured.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Further details will be released as soon as they become available.
