Woman in critical condition Saturday morning after shooting near a bar in Toledo, police said

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Police officials say at least one person was shot near a Toledo bar early on the morning of June 8.

According to police, a woman was shot around 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot near Chaser’s Bar in the 3400 block of Dorr Street. Officers said she was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries but is in stable condition.

Officials believe the shots came from people firing into the air inside the bar. They confirmed that an IDER security guard was in the vicinity of the shooting and used his firearm during the incident.

So far, two men have been taken into police custody in connection with the incident. According to TPD, it is too early to say whether charges will be filed against the security personnel.
