Person shot on the west side of Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after one person was seriously injured in a shooting on Indy’s west side early Saturday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3800 block of West Michigan Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. because a person had been shot.


When officers arrived, they found a person with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Police say the victim was found in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
