Deputy: Volusia County drug dealer arrested after buy-bust operation

A fentanyl dealer is in custody after being arrested during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Paul Carswell, 39, was charged with fentanyl trafficking, sale of fentanyl, sale of cocaine, possession of MDPV with intent to sell and other offenses, officials said. Volusia officials said the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force conducted the buy-bust operation in Ormond Beach. At the time of Carswell’s arrest, investigators seized fentanyl, crack cocaine, MDPV, a digital scale and other paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, a fentanyl dealer is in custody after being arrested during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday.

According to officials, 39-year-old Paul Carswell was charged with trafficking fentanyl, selling fentanyl, selling cocaine, possession of MDPV with intent to sell and other offenses.

Volusia officials said the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force conducted the buy-bust operation in Ormond Beach.

When Carswell was arrested, detectives seized fentanyl, crack cocaine, MDPV, a digital scale and other paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
