AMBER Alert issued for Maverick Brown in Nevada County

According to officials, the woman, identified as 30-year-old Siera Salitero, abducted 3-year-old Maverick Brown around 11:30 a.m. She was last seen in the area of ​​N. Bloomfield Road near Grizzly Hill Road, where officials say she allegedly attacked someone.

Salitero is described by officers as a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 5’4″ tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, a black sports bra and blue jeans.

She and the child were believed to be traveling on foot and were last seen walking southeast toward the South Yuba River. At approximately 6 p.m., an AMBER alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol. The relationship between Salitero and the child is currently unknown.

Officials are currently searching the area and are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 911. No further information is available at this time.
