DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety says a 10-mile stretch of Interstate 26 in Dorchester County has been closed due to a hazardous materials spill.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash that closed the highway between mile markers 177 and 187. Officials said traffic is being detoured at mile marker 177, the Harleyville/Holly Hill exit.

The Highway Patrol reported a hazardous materials spill in the area of ​​mile marker 186.
