Houston continues to hold first place in the MLR with 52 points, seven ahead of Western Conference rival Seattle and 12 ahead of San Diego and Eastern Conference leader New England.

The top four teams in each conference will advance to the playoffs, which could include sixth-place RFC Los Angeles after last week’s 45-15 loss to Miami.

RFC Los Angeles, which relocated from Atlanta before the 2024 season, tied Utah with 27 points, six behind fourth-place Dallas.

The SaberCats defeated RFC Los Angeles 27-12 in their first meeting on March 10 at SaberCats Stadium. Houston has yet to lose to a Western Conference opponent and leads the MLR in point differential (123), points for (368) and fewest points against (245).

Player to watch

Freestyle prop Ezekiel Lindenmuth is the only SaberCats player to have started every game this season and was recognized for his efforts this week, winning the MLR First XV with fullback Drew Wild.
