Danville man pleads guilty to sexually harassing co-worker | Top Stories

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – A Danville man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a co-worker.

On June 5, 30-year-old Kasey Hollis, formerly of Danville, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years in prison by the Illinois Department of Corrections for misdemeanor sexual abuse, a Class 4 felony.

During the contentious sentencing hearing, Judge Robert McIntire heard evidence from the state that Hollis forcibly touched the genitals of a female colleague in May 2023.

The victim wrote a statement that was read at the sentencing, in which she said: “After being sexually assaulted both verbally and physically by a man 11 years older than me, I now live in constant fear of being around and trusting men.” She added: “… today I want you to know that I will never think of you or the horrible things you did to me again.”

Prosecutor Jacqueline Lacy said: “I hope that your powerful statement can help the victim in this case to heal.”
