Man killed in forklift accident in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — A man has died in a forklift accident in Pike County.
Initial reports say rescue crews were dispatched to the 5700 block of Lapparell Road on the Pike County-Ross County border.

According to dispatchers, a man was trapped between a forklift and a commercial vehicle.

Several rescue crews from Ross and Pike County were called to the scene. A rescue helicopter was initially requested. Shortly before 12 noon this afternoon, rescue crews confirmed that the person had succumbed to his injuries.
