Chumash Casino Bus Involved in Head-On Crash on Highway 154 Near Stagecoach Road

SANTA BARBARA, CA (June 7, 2024) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 154 late Thursday evening.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the incident occurred on June 6 at around 11:25 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a pickup truck and a bus belonging to the Chumash Casino collided head-on near Stagecoach Road.

Emergency crews took the pickup truck driver and a bus passenger to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

Authorities did not release the names of the victims.

To facilitate the investigation, emergency crews closed Highway 154 in both directions for at least 90 minutes.

Santa Barbara Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
