A fire breaks out in a house in Johnston County, the cause is being investigated

CLAYTON, NC – Firefighters are trying to determine the cause of a fire at a home in Clayton.

When crews reached the house on Michael Way, flames were coming from the right side of the house, crews report.

A video sent to WRAL News shows smoke rising from the house around 8 p.m. Thursday evening.

Emergency services confirmed that a woman was in the house and was able to leave safely.

Several neighbors believe that the house is a total loss.
