1 arrest after hit-and-run involving ambulance on I-91 in Enfield

ENFIELD, Connecticut (WTNH) – One person was arrested Thursday evening following a hit-and-run crash involving an ambulance on Interstate 91 in Enfield.

According to state police, the accident occurred around 10:40 p.m. on I-91 South. A preliminary investigation revealed that the ambulance was struck by another vehicle, which then fled the scene.

State police were able to locate the vehicle involved as it continued on I-91 and arrested the driver.

No injuries were reported following the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
