Police: Cell phone video shows attack in Walmart parking lot in Greene County

Two men are charged in connection with the incident

Two men are facing charges in connection with the assault of a 16-year-old boy in a Walmart parking lot in Greene County. Police say the incident happened just before 10 p.m. Monday at the store on Murtha Drive in Franklin Township. Officers investigating the assault said they obtained cellphone video showing 19-year-old Chase Frameli of Clarksville punching his victim and putting him in a chokehold for about 46 seconds. Police said the videotaper and Frameli’s encourager is Ian Bogumit, 18, of Mather. Both men face multiple charges and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.

Police said it happened shortly before 10 p.m. Monday at the store on Murtha Drive in Franklin Township.

Police investigating the attack said they obtained cellphone video showing 19-year-old Chase Frameli of Clarksville hitting the victim and putting him in a chokehold for about 46 seconds.

Police say 18-year-old Ian Bogumit of Mather is the person who recorded the video and encouraged Frameli to “keep going.”

Both men face multiple charges and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
