Red Dead Redemption 2 player amazed by “groundbreaking” fast travel trick

Believe it or not, there are still a lot of new players starting out Red Dead Redemption 2 for the very first time, more than five years after its release.

Now Red Dead Redemption 2 is a pretty big game, huge even, so god knows what Rockstar Games is up to GTA VI.

If you’re new to the game or thinking about donning a cowboy hat for the very first time, seasoned Red Dead Redemption veterans have plenty of tips that could save you a few hours of time.

A new player, reaper70, asked the wider community for some tips to help them get started on the greatest narrative adventure of all time, and they kindly responded.

There were tons of tips in the comments, but the most helpful came from zeebs758, who can add a waypoint to a location you want to travel to: “Switch to movie view and your horse will automatically drive you to the location.” Other players, me included, were overwhelmed by the revelation.

“Bless you and all your descendants for this tip.”

“Oh my God, if this is true, this changes everything. One of the things I liked about the last few Assassin’s Creed games is that you can just let your horse follow the road to your destination while you sit back and enjoy the scenery.”

“You just changed the game for me, thank you very much.”

Of course, not only does Red Dead Redemption 2 contain some secret gameplay mechanics to make the journey a little smoother, there are also plenty of secrets Discoveries to be found on the way.
