Amherst Bulletin – Bob Greeney: Suspend spending on Jones Library project

Please do not spend any more money on a project that no longer has the support of the majority of the community. At the very least, halt all spending on this project until another citywide referendum is held. If $2 million had been spent on creative and affordable designs to renovate the current library, we would certainly have a plan that meets our needs and has broad community support. It makes me very sad that a building we all love has become so divisive. Please let unity, community, and inclusion lead us to better decisions and outcomes.
