One person died and nine were injured in Russian attacks in Ukraine last day

Russian forces attacked several Ukrainian settlements in recent days, killing one person and wounding nine, local authorities said on June 7.

Russia targeted a total of 12 Ukrainian oblasts – Sumy, Luhansk, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kherson. Casualties were reported in the last three regions.

In Donetsk Oblast In Bakhmut district, one person was killed and another injured in the Chasiv Yar community, near the front line.

The Russian attacks damaged eight houses, an industrial plant and two outbuildings.

One person was injured, while two houses were damaged in the Toretsk municipality, said Governor Vadym Filashkin reported.

In Kherson OblastRussian forces carried out attacks on 15 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. According to the governor, four people were injured Oleksandr Prokudin.

The Russian military shelled residential areas, damaging three multi-storey buildings, 14 houses and cars. A supermarket and a car repair shop were also hit.

In Dnipropetrovsk OblastRussian troops attacked the city Nikopollocated on the banks of the largely dried-up Kakhovka Reservoirdirectly opposite the Russian-occupied Enerhodar and the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Two women aged 70 and 61 were injured, Governor Serhii Lysak said.

A total of 15 houses, a garage, 10 outbuildings and several cars were damaged in the Russian attacks with artillery and kamikaze drones. Two outbuildings were completely destroyed and power lines were also damaged by the attack.

Russia also started 53 Shahed drones and five Kh-101 cruise missiles with Tu-95MS bomber aircraft overnight. Air raid warnings sounded in several Ukrainian oblasts at around 2:40 a.m. local time.
