Dunkirk police have released further information on the stabbings in which three people, including the accused man, were injured.

Twain Buchanan-Scott, 34, was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal damage in connection with the May 30 incident.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Dunkirk Police were called to 123 Lake Shore Drive West for a disturbance while arriving patrol cars were warned of a possible stabbing at the location.

Patrol officers managed to enter the apartment, where they found suspect Twain Buchanan-Scott armed with a knife, standing over a female victim who had multiple stab wounds on her body.

Patrol officers were able to quickly and without incident arrest Buchanan-Scott. Patrol officers then found another male victim in the apartment who also suffered stab wounds. Both were treated by the Dunkirk Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was transported to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown and arrested later Wednesday. He was arraigned before Judge John Kuzdale and held on $100,000 cash and $200,000 bond bail.

The city police were assisted by the Fredonia Police Department, the Dunkirk Fire Department and the Alstar Ambulance.
