According to FHP, the car was traveling southbound on Ream Road south of Summerlake Boulevard in Orange County. During the crash, police say a tree fell on the roof of the car. The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, according to FHP. A 40-year-old driver and a 12-year-old passenger were also in the vehicle at the time of the incident but did not sustain any injuries. The incident has closed northbound and southbound lanes of Reams Road. The incident remains under investigation.

A 14-year-old girl was killed Thursday when a tree fell on the roof of the vehicle she was in, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to FHP, the car was traveling south on Ream Road south of Summerlake Boulevard in Orange County when a tree fell on the roof of the car, according to police.

According to FHP, the victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The incident resulted in a road closure of the northbound and southbound lanes of Reams Road.
