Man apparently died of drowning on Lake Winnipesaukee beach – NECN

A man died on a beach on Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on Thursday. The drowning case is currently under investigation.

New Hampshire State Police said the Wolfeboro Fire Department received a call at around 6:16 p.m. that a man was found face down in the water at Carry Beach. Rescue crews arrived on scene and were assisted by locals who brought the man to shore for medical attention.

Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead, police said. He was identified as 65-year-old Thomas A. Lennon of Wolfeboro.

According to police, there is currently no suspicion regarding Lennon’s death. The investigation is ongoing.
