Affidavit: Van Buren porn actor arrested for human trafficking

The affidavit states that she told police she was essentially forced to participate and that Hall became angry and started yelling when she told him to say no.

VAN BUREN, Arkansas – A Van Buren man was arrested after allegedly engaging in human trafficking and violent treatment of several women.

Michael Wayne Hall was booked into the Crawford County Jail on June 4. The charges included terroristic threatening, human trafficking, harassing communications, domestic violence and aggravated battery on a family or household member, each split into two counts.

The first affidavit states that on May 12, detectives took a report from a woman about Hall, who allegedly harassed her via email, text messages and messages on CashApp.

According to the affidavit, the woman told police that Hall became physically violent toward her in April, choking her until she nearly passed out and later throwing her to the ground.

Hall then allegedly slammed her arms and legs against a door about 10 times. He then pushed her to the ground and slammed her head into the tile floor in the kitchen “like a basketball,” the affidavit states.

According to court documents, in January 2024, investigators spoke to another person who had left Hall’s apartment in the middle of the night and was sleeping at the police station. She told police that she had been picked up in Kentucky by Hall and another woman and had come to live with them, possibly permanently.

The person left the room on Jan. 17 because Hall was mistreating the other woman. He allegedly kicked her in the stomach and ribs while she was on the floor, the affidavit states.

According to court documents, the woman told police that Hall said the two would start making porn on OnlyFans in 2023. The money earned from the account was controlled by Hall and reportedly went into his bank account, which belonged only to him.

The woman stated that she “couldn’t really refuse to film because she might be beaten,” the affidavit states.

She explained that OnlyFans was his full-time job when she and Hall moved to Van Buren in 2023. The affidavit states that she told police she was basically forced to participate and that Hall became angry and started yelling and throwing things when she refused him.

The second affidavit states that Van Buren police officers went to a woman’s home to check on her welfare on May 29. A friend of the woman was concerned about her welfare because she had asked for help getting to Florida.

The woman was contacted and told officers she was OK. On June 3, officers were called again to check on the well-being of the same woman. This time, she opened the door and began crying hysterically, the affidavit states.

She ran out of the house and said Hall headbutted her twice, court documents say. She told officers she had pictures of previous injuries Hall had inflicted on her and that he had even threatened to kill her by shooting her.

The affidavit includes text messages between the woman and Hall, one of which reads, “If my phone rings again, I’m going to smash it in your damn face until there’s nothing left of it,” and another, “I’m literally going to kill you.”

The affidavit states that the woman reported multiple times that Hall had threatened to kill her, even after the initial welfare check.

Hall has posted $100,000 bail and is awaiting his court date.

According to court records, Hall has been booked into the Sebastian County Jail three times in 2022. The charges were as follows:

  • January 13, 2022 – Serious Bodily Harm to a Family or Household Member
  • August 4, 2022 – Assault on a family or household member in the third degree
  • December 12, 2022 — Petition to repeal
