Plainfield High School student arrested on four counts of threatening with firearms

PLAINFIELD, Connecticut (WTNH) – An arrest was made at Plainfield High School after a firearm threat was reported on school grounds.

Both Plainfield High School and Shepard Hill Elementary School were placed on lockdown Thursday morning while multiple Plainfield police units searched the campus for a student who posted on social media that he had brought a firearm to school.

It turned out that the student was not on campus that day, and police found him and his vehicle at a residence in the city. There they found the firearm and the student was arrested for possession, endangering minors, threatening, and disturbing the peace.

The student was referred to juvenile court in Willimantic.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
