Shreveport man arrested for stealing gun from victim’s home on South Lakeshore Drive

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KSLA) – Officers in Shreveport have arrested a man accused of stealing a gun from a private residence.

Police said that on Wednesday, June 5, around 9 p.m., officers responded to a call about a gun theft from a home in the 5600 block of S Lakeshore Drive, which is west of Shreveport on Cross Lake. When officers arrived, they learned that Brandon Jackson, 52, had stolen a gun from the victim during an argument. Police said Jackson took the gun from the victim’s home without permission.

Jackson has a previous felony conviction and is therefore prohibited from owning a firearm. As a result, he is charged with theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm as a felon.
