Murder investigation underway in McAllen

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A homicide investigation is underway in McAllen following the death of a man on Thursday.

McAllen police are investigating the death of a man in the 2000 block of Houston Avenue.

Police told ValleyCentral that the investigation began at 9:36 a.m. Thursday and that the case is believed to be a homicide.

A justice of the peace has ordered an autopsy and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
