PM storms on Wednesday in CLT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Wednesday is a day of pinpoint weather warning as you need to pay extra attention to the weather from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

A few heavy showers and storms are expected, some of which may arrive during sleep Wednesday night. Make sure you have a way to wake up to a severe storm warning! Turn out of “Do Not Disturb” on your smartphone, and if you have a NOAA weather radio, make sure it is turned on At Before going to bed. Damaging wind gusts and hail will be the two main threats, although a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.

An approaching cold front could bring a few more showers and storms to end the week on Friday, but as it moves east the weekend is looking brighter. The humidity disappears…and high temperatures fall back into the 70s.

Wednesday: There will be isolated showers and storms. High 90.
