Guo asks Ombudsman to lift suspension

The lawyer of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo on Thursday filed a request with the Office of the Ombudsman (Ombudsman) to lift the precautionary suspension imposed on her.

The Ombudsman had ordered a precautionary suspension of Guo while he investigates the administrative complaint filed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

MOTION FOR RETRIAL Lawyers Stephen David, Nicole Jamilla and Lorelie Santos, the legal team of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, file a motion for retrial and an emergency motion to lift the preventive suspension at the Office of the Ombudsman in Quezon City on June 6, 2024. David said they would challenge Guo’s suspension as they believe there is no strong evidence of guilt regarding the corruption case against Guo over the alleged illegal activities of POGO in Bamban, Tarlac.
