The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) swung into action after a woman constable allegedly slapped actress and politician Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport. A senior CISF official told ANI, “The CISF has suspended the woman constable and filed a complaint against her at the local police station for slapping BJP leader and actress Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport.”

Also, Chandigarh Superintendent of Police (Detective) KS Sandhu was spotted at Chandigarh airport. He had arrived at the airport to discuss the incident with the CISF official.

Reassuring everyone that she was safe, Kangana later reacted to the unpleasant incident in a video statement, “I am safe. I am completely fine. The incident took place during the security check. After I was done with the security check, a woman CISF constable was waiting for me to go through the booth. Later, she came from the side, slapped me on the face and started abusing me. When I asked her why she did that, she told me that she (the CISF officer) was supporting the farmers’ protest. My (Kangana) question is how can we put an end to the growing extremism and terrorism in Punjab?”

In another video shared on social media, the concerned CISF constable explained that her mother was among the farmers who held a sit-in against the farm laws. “She said the farmers would sit there for Rs 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there protesting when she made that statement…” she said.

Kangana was on her way to Delhi when this incident occurred.
