Nina Dobrev undergoes surgery after bicycle accident: “I felt the support”

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev’s recovery continues after a bicycle accident last week.

In her latest post, Nina shared photos of what looked like a hospital and wrote: “The surgery was successful 🫶🏼.”

She continued, “Thank you to everyone who sent kind messages, thoughts, prayers and good vibes. I have felt the support and positive energy. This means more to me than you will ever know ❤️‍🩹.”

In one photo, the actress gives a thumbs up wearing a hospital gown and hairnet. In another, she takes a somber selfie.

Dobrev’s famous family members expressed their support for her.

Her boyfriend Shaun White gushed: “WE ALL LOVE YOU.”

“The Vampire Diaries” showrunner Julie Plec wrote: “You look like a model.”

Sasha Farber posted: “Good luck!!!! You’ll be dancing before you know it!!”

Vin Diesel posted an emoji with praying hands.

Rachel Zoe wrote: “Sending all your love and healing Nina!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Sarah Hyland told her: “I have never looked so good in a surgical cap. Look at that and how you are recovering up there my lovelies ♥️.”

Alyssa Milano shared, “Get well soon! And I know that’s not the point – but you are so beautiful.”

Nina was anxious before the surgery. She shared a thumbs down photo on Instagram Stories and wrote: “Anyone else scared of surgery? I’m such a baby when it comes to needles, blood, or any kind of procedure.”

She also shared a final photo of her leg, which looked “flawless” before it was “all scarred.”

Nina also shared a video of herself marking her leg, explaining: “Fun fact: they make you draw on the limb that is being operated on to confirm it is the correct limb. (I guess there have been cases in the past where some surgeons have accidentally operated on the wrong limb)… YUCK!!!”

Since the accident, Nina has posted updates on social media, including a sweet video of Shaun cheering her up by paying tribute to her character from The Vampire Diaries.

The snowboarder dances into the room wearing a white Elena Gilbert sweatshirt, while Nina tells him, “You’re crazy,” but admits, “I love it.”

Then he screams: “I love you, Gilly!”

Dobrev has also shared a series of photos while recovering from a leg injury. In the images, she can be seen lounging with a beauty mask, cuddling with her dogs, enjoying a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and posing with crutches.
