Woman in wheelchair killed in firebombing in Detroit

A woman was arrested for allegedly throwing a firebomb at her ex-boyfriend’s house, killing his wheelchair-bound mother.

The man, his mother and another woman were all in the house at the time of the incident. Two of them managed to jump out a rear window, according to KJBK.

The mother died in the fire, while the other two were able to jump out of a rear window.

The firebomb was intended for the victim’s son, the authorities said. There are indications that the suspect had bought an accelerant at a nearby gas station shortly before the incident.

Detroit police arrested the ex-girlfriend, who was hiding out in a Livonia motel. Another woman who was with her was also arrested.
