Livingston Parish deputies are asking the public for help in investigating a possible attempted child abduction case

SPRINGFIELD, Louisiana (BRPROUD) – The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in the investigation into a possible attempted child abduction of a nine-year-old on Wednesday, June 5.

Officers arrived in the Shelton Drive/Tiboe Plaza area in Springfield around 8 p.m., the LPSO said. Investigators are looking into what may have happened as they are “receiving conflicting reports and need more information.”

LPSO has asked anyone who owns a camera and lives in the area to contact them. They are specifically looking for any activity that may have occurred between 7 and 8 p.m.

The sheriff’s office asked the public to look at the image and “focus on the small white car with no bumper.” Investigators believe a white man and woman are associated with this vehicle and are looking for them.

The investigations are still ongoing.
