French-inspired cocktail lounge and patio bar to open in Houston

The cocktail scene in Houston is strong, especially in Montrose. Following the opening of sleek new Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge, as well as three Montrose bars named to Esquire’s America’s Best Bars 2024 list, a new cocktail lounge is set to debut.

At the beginning of July, Sophie Cocktail Lounge & Terrace Bar will open its magnificent bistro and south-of-France-inspired roof terrace at the Montrose Collective. The new two-story lounge will have two floors: the Cocktail bar on the ground floor with 20 seats and an expansive second floor with an expansive 2,000 square foot open-air terrace.

Situated alongside Uchi and Marmo at Montrose Collective, Sophie offers a dark new romantic destination for lovers, friends and more.

Its chic indoor/outdoor rooftop patio can accommodate up to 80 people. Adorned with lush accents, the outdoor terrace offers an experience in the sun with an idyllic view of Montrose.

Sophie’s French-inspired menu is led by chef de cuisine Anthony Anderson of Uchi, Uchiko and Nobie’s. Menu highlights include Raw Tunamade with marinated yellowfin tuna and saffron potato with Kaluga huso caviar; Fettuccine with lemon butter and Kaluga huso caviar; And The Swan, a pistachio cake, pistachio sand and candied raspberry; and a varied selection of cheeses and wild game charcuterie.
