Greeneville man dies after injuries sustained in motorcycle crash in Baileyton – WGRV.com

A Greeneville man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday. The man, identified as Shannon Johnson, died Wednesday at Johnson City Medical Center.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Johnson, 53, was riding his motorcycle on Van Hill Road near the intersection of the I-81 off-ramps at the Davy Crockett TA Travel Center at around 3:30 p.m. A semi-truck driven by 32-year-old Daniel Soto of Texas veered in front of him and his motorcycle became stuck under the semi-truck, according to the report.

Soto, the driver of the semi-truck, reportedly suffered no injuries. No charges were listed in the report.
